Community information sessions

Information sessions in Ellangowan and Casino

Information sessions for the Richmond Valley Solar Farm were held on Wednesday 6 September at Ellangowan Community Hall and Thursday 7 September at Casino Community & Cultural Centre, to give interested local residents and other community members an opportunity to learn more about the project, and to give the project team the opportunity to hear about concerns and priorities for the local community.

The sessions were well attended, with more than 40 local residents and community members joining the project team for a presentation, q&a and discussion.

Ark Energy thanks everyone who took the time to attend and we appreciate the valuable local insights and feedback we received. Key concerns raised included fire, flooding, visual impacts and road upgrades. More information on these topics will be prepared prior to the next information sessions, which are likely to be in November.

Below are links to download the presentation, information materials and preliminary maps that were shared.
