The area around Myrtle Creek in Richmond Valley has great potential for solar energy generation with a strong solar resource and existing transmission infrastructure.
The site of the proposed Richmond Valley Solar Farm is approximately 10km east of Rappville and currently used for cattle grazing, a complementary land use for a solar farm.
It is an ideal location for a solar farm that could generate up to 500 megawatts (MW) and potentially include energy storage to support both the project and the local network.
Epuron is consulting with property owners, neighbours, and local and state government authorities to prepare a Scoping Report that will enable the NSW Government to determine planning assessment requirements.
We are keen to engage with the local community for input to help shape the project and maximise community benefits.
