Hot sun keeps beers cold at Ti Tree

The TKLN solar maintenance team was in Ti Tree this week to perform the annual scheduled maintenance on the sites solar facilities and Grid Stability System when they managed to avoid a power interruption for the town. Earlier in the week when a diesel supply hose faulted and caused one of the diesel generators to fail there was a loss of supply. The Power and Water Corporation technician had fixed the generator with temporary parts and was set to install the permanent parts on Friday, this would require up to an hour’s power outage for the town. The electrician told the team that this could be avoided if the solar system maintained grid connection in conjunction with the other diesel generator. Solar maintenance was successfully carried out and the TKLN team was pleased to observe the power remained on for the town allowing the fridge to stay on at the pub and the residents and businesses of Ti Tree to carry on with their day.
