Silverton Wind Farm Ready for Construction

AGL announced that the construction of its 200 MW Silverton wind farm was set to proceed.

GE and civil engineering construction company, CATCON, won the major contract to develop and build the $450 million Silverton Wind Farm, in what will be the sixth largest wind farm in Australia.  GE and CATCON, will be responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction of the Silverton Wind Farm Project, which includes the supply, transportation, erection, fit-out and commissioning of 58 wind generation turbines, together with the design and construction of the WTG foundations, internal road and hardstand network, electrical reticulation system, external road upgrades and the construction of an Operations and Maintenance Facility .
